Living Wall at Swansea Community Farm
The team are in Wales this week at Swansea Community Farm where they are installing an aluminium trough style living wall with a slight difference: They are not adding any plants!
The animals, gardens and allotment on the farm are looked after by volunteers, many who have disabilities or are people who have experienced health problems. Working at the farm helps people to rebuild their confidence, learn new skills and develop new interests in growing food, caring for animals and the environment. It also produces healthy local food and protect the wildlife and nature we all rely on.
And it’s these volunteers who will get to do the planting and bring the bespoke, powder-coated living wall to life once the TUGC team have completed the construction. We can’t wait to see how it looks.
