Bio Solar Roof install at Brindley Heath School
We were delighted to be asked to install a biosolar roof to the new Brindley Heath School complex in Stourbridge. The original school buildings had reached end of life and declared no longer fit for modern day teaching purposes. The new school construction was agreed on and built in the space around the original buildings.
It was proposed and agreed that the school will become net-zero carbon in operation and will include sustainability features such as PV panels and ground source heat pumps. TUGC were contracted to install a bio solar roof on the finished building to help achieve this.
In addition to the solar PV panels that we installed, our team planted over 5,000 plug plants alongside a specially selected seed mix helping to create a biodiverse roof that will continue to establish and develop over time and provide many benefits to the school and local community.
