This bio-solar project was many months in the planning with the client, Standard Chartered, becoming very engaged in the whole process. The coordination between the green roof and the solar installation team at The Green Infrastructure Consultancy was critical to ensure ease of installation.

The solar panels were retrofitted onto a simple sedum green roof. During the installation, the green roof was adapted to take a greater variety of vegetation which, as the photos show (taken about 12 months after the work), have thrived and look stunning as well as bringing much needed biodiversity and  sustainability to the city of London.
